Sorbitol is a polyol that combines health benefits with practical functions. Sorbitol naturally occurs in various fruits and, due to its unique properties such as metabolism being independent of insulin and not easily utilized by oral bacteria, it can serve as a low-calorie functional sweetener as well as an important raw material in the pharmaceutical, daily chemical, and other industries.

Functional sweeteners: Used as low-calorie sweeteners in the production of special foods for diabetics and obese individuals, as well as in sugar-free chewing gum, candies, and other products.

Moisturizing and improving agents: Can effectively retain moisture in food, prevent pastries, bread, and other baked goods from drying and cracking, extend shelf life, and maintain their fresh and soft texture.

Anti-cavity function: Sorbitol is not easily broken down by bacteria in the mouth to produce acid, so it does not cause tooth decay and is widely used in products such as chewing gum.
