Vitamin A is a fat-soluble vitamin and organic compound with the chemical formula C₂₀H₃₀O. It plays a core role in maintaining visual health, immune function, and skin health. Its appearance is yellow flaky crystals or crystalline powder.

Food and Public Nutrition

Infant formula, complementary foods for older infants, modified milk, and some cereal breakfast foods must be fortified with a fixed amount of vitamin A, because infants and young children have very low vitamin A reserves and high demand, so their basic intake safety level needs to be ensured through food.

Medical field

Treat nutritional night blindness, xerophthalmia/corneal softening; it can also correct VA deficiency in people with chronic malabsorption.

Cosmetics and Skin Care

Promotes collagen production, reduces fine lines and wrinkles.
Unclogs pores, used to treat acne, improve roughness and enlarged pores.
Inhibits melanin production, lightens spots and photoaging.

Feed industry

Vitamin A must be added to the feed of pigs, chickens, cattle, fish, and other animals to ensure healthy growth, high reproductive rates, eggshell quality, and meat quality. In poultry feed, it is also used to deepen the color of egg yolks. It is also added to cat and dog food because cats cannot synthesize vitamin A from plants.
